Today was a great Walgreens trip! When I shop I usually have my two year old with me, so good preparation is key to a great shopping trip. I had received a $5 off $20 coupon from Walgreens by email which was good yesterday (11/14) and today (11/15). I really wanted to figure out a way to maximize my savings with it and still purchase things I would actually use. All week I had been planning to purchase the Kellogg's Cereal deal of 4 boxes not only for the $2 Register Reward, but for a $10 Kellogg's rebate by purchasing four qualifying products.
I ended up purchasing two Jack's Frozen Pizza (Kraft product), L'Oreal Age Perfect moisturizer, and my four boxes of Kellogg's cereal. I had a $2 manufacturer coupon for the L'Oreal, and three $1 manufacturer coupons for the Kellogg's cereal, plus my $5 off $20 coupon. My total after manufacturer and Walgreens coupons had to be $20 or greater to use the $5 coupon, and I actually didn't need to purchase the pizza to reach my $20, but it was almost dinner time and we needed a quick bite to eat so it worked out well. My total out of pocket ended up being $22.20 for the pizza, L'Oreal moisturizer, and the cereal.
At first glance, what I actually purchased and what I ended up paying for the seven items doesn't seem like a great deal. For me it actually ends up being a great deal because I will receive $16.48 for the L'Oreal moisturizer based on the sale price for the Walgreens rebate ($21.98 if I'm reimbursed at the regular price) and $10 for the Kellogg' mail-in-rebate. I paid for the purchase with my Walgreens giftcard so there was no actual cash out-of-pocket and I received a $2 Register Reward to use on a future purchase. In total, I spent $22.20 and will receive a total of $28.48 back ($2 Register Reward, $16.48 Walgreens rebate, $10 Kellogg's Rebate). In all it was a great trip and I can't wait to plan my next Super Trip.

Walgreens: $5/20 coupon Friday, October 24th & Saturday October 25th
Well, here we are once again and Walgreens is trying to lure us into the store with another coupon. I don't mind of course, because it helps me maximize my savings, so I will be making at least one trip this weekend to take advantage of the coupon. Here's the link, and remember that your total before the coupon will apply has to be $20, and then it will take $5 off of your order. This means that after all of your coupons (manufacturer and Walgreens coupons) and Register Rewards your total must still be $20. Happy saving!

Walgreens:Super Trip! August 30, 2008
I posted about the $10/40 coupon good at Walgreens on August 29th & 30th, and just couldn't resist a trip there myself. I actually needed a few things that would help me get my total to the $40 without buying a bunch of stuff I didn't need so that really helped. I was a little nervous when the cashier gave me my total of more than $80, so I handed over the coupons and hoped that my calculations were about right and that it would be around $35. Here's what I bought:

Minus Walgreens coupons & sales $19.35
Total after coupons:$42.56
I also had my $10/40 coupon and my total had to remain above $40 after coupons and sales to be able to use it, so the $10 coupon brought my total down to $32.56. After tax of $5.04 my final total was $37.60.
I received a $2 Register Reward to use like money on future Walgreens purchases because of my Huggies diapers purchase.
The following items were also Free-After-Rebate items for the month of September and once I submit my rebate information I will receive the full price of these back plus an additional 10% since I will have it loaded back onto my Walgreens giftcard:

Walgreens: $10/40 coupon Friday 8/29 & Saturday 8/30
This will be a great coupon to use if you haven't purchased the August free-after-rebate items, but if you have already purchased them, don't worry because the September free-after-rebate items are available now too.
As a bonus, the Chemistry Shampoo or Conditioner or Treatment is a free-after-rebate item for September's EasySaver book, and there is a $3 Walgreens coupon in the August EasySaver book which makes it free-after-rebate and $3 overage after the coupon and rebate. The August $3 coupon can only be used today or tomorrow since the August EasySaver book expires 8/30/08.
Don't forget your $10/40 coupon if you're going to Walgreens, but remember that your order total must be $40 after all manufacturer coupons (of course this may depend on your store's policy). Click here to print your $10/40 coupon: http://www.walgreens.com/hotbuys/default.jsp?ec=hn583_getcoupon
