Most people forget about their public library as a source of saving money. This morning we made a trip to the library for a couple of DVD's. The library not only has books to check out, free of charge, they also have DVD's and VHS tapes that are available to check out and take home as well.
Our favorite spot at the library is the children's area where there are computers, games, puzzles, and of course tons of books to look through. Today we found a couple of Caillou videos to watch, since it's my sons favorite video and it only comes on once a day on the digital channel for OETA. I was able to locate four episdoes of Caillou on http://youtube.com/, but after watching the same four episodes over and over and almost able to say them word for word I decided that the trip to the library was a necessity for my sanity. Of course with any trip to the library for our family, it includes my son screaming with delight at the top of his lungs, and running through the library at his fastest speed. I'm certain that the other library patrons don't enjoy his excitement as much as my son does, but nevertheless we always survive a trip to the library with only a few embarassing moments.
